Why are you selling the farm?
We have loved the challenged of building a business from the ground up. Now that the business is up and running, we're ready for the next adventure!
Is the business profitable?
Yes! This is a great opportunity for you to take over a profitable business. We've taken it through the growing pains of getting it established, but now it is ready to roll. The business should reach its intended productivity in about 2-3 years.
But I don't know anything about goats/farming/cheesemaking - how can I learn everything in time?
Training and on-going support is included with the sale. We want the new owners to be successful and will spend the time helping them to make this possible! Cheesemaking training and recipes are included with the sale. We will be available to help throughout the following years as new seasonal challenges arrive (kidding season, market logistics, fall clean-up tasks). If a goat is sick, call us. We want them to be healthy and well cared for.
What is included with the sale?
Everything. Maybe even the barn cat (he loves it here). Please contact us for the full list. Here's a brief overview:
What is your vision for the future of the farm?
We hope the business will continue. We've put a lot of effort into getting it to this point, and know it can succeed, so we'd like to see that happen. The community has been really supportive, and we'd like the farm to keep being a part of it.
What are you guys going to do?
We are staying in Teton Valley and "moving" on to the next step in our lives. Nate wants to explore some of his other interests like bike repair and construction, while Ginny will continue working at Intermountain Aquatics. We are both excited to start the next stage of life here in Teton Valley!
